  • Stage 2 (High-Set or Backup Stage): This stage is set to respond to larger deviations or residual voltages. It provides backup protection for feeders, busbars, or the main system, ensuring that faults not cleared by the first stage are still addressed . In practical circuits, such as a two-relay AC voltage stabilizer, one relay monitors extreme voltage conditions (high or low), while the second relay ensures the normal voltage is maintained and ready for switching when needed . This arrangement allows continuous voltage regulation and protection against spikes or dips.
