Malta Mobile, through GO plc, has successfully completed a 13-year fiber optic infrastructure project that spans the entire Maltese archipelago, including Gozo . The rollout involved laying 10,800 km of fiber-optic cables and over 3,275 km of ducts and tubing, with more than one million labor hours dedicated to construction and customer migrations . Coverage and Connectivity

The fiber network now reaches 371,000 homes, providing near-universal access to gigabit internet speeds, with some areas capable of up to 10 Gbps . Malta is among the first European countries to achieve such extensive fiber coverage, with only a few areas in Valletta still pending due to heritage and infrastructure constraints . Business customers can now access 1,000 Mbps Giga-speed internet as a standard offering, with promotional options such as six months free for new Business Plus subscribers .
